Under the pandiri
The pandiri is the wedding canopy a Telugu family raises at the door — coconut fronds, mango leaves, banana trees. In this invitation guests walk in under it as they scroll, down a red carpet that turns into silk.
A digital pelli patrika: sent as a link, it reaches Hyderabad, Vijayawada and the cousins in the US on the same evening.
It closes under the night sky with శుభ వివాహం, and the Arundhati star every Telugu bride is shown at her wedding.
How Pandiri opens
Brass lamps light over your names, guests walk in through the pandiri, and the red carpet becomes a silk saree.
- 01
Light the lamps
Five hanging brass lamps at dawn. One tap and they catch one after another, over your names.
- 02
Walk in through the pandiri
Guests scroll to walk in — coconut fronds, mango leaves and banana trees — down a red carpet that turns into silk, with your families' words on it.
- 03
Your story on a painted scroll
Your photos as panels on a red cloth scroll in the style of Cheriyal, uncovered by a rolling wooden rod.
- 04
The vindu
Pulihora, pappu, gongura pachadi, bobbatlu, payasam — dishes land one by one on a banana leaf: "Come hungry".
- 05
Talambralu
At the wedding a cloth screen lowers as guests scroll, and they shower turmeric rice with a tap. There is turmeric to throw at the haldi and a dholak to play at the sangeet.
- 06
The Arundhati star
The days counted under three brass lamps, then the night sky: guests find the Arundhati star, and every wish becomes a star.

Questions families ask
Can it show the muhurtham?
Yes: "The muhurtham is at 10:42 am; please be seated by 10:15" — with the day's programme in order, from the groom's pretend journey to the turmeric rice.
Can we change the dishes on the banana leaf?
The vindu is part of the design — eight classic dishes landing on a banana leaf — and it stays the same for every couple.
Can we add the Nischitartham or Pellikuthuru?
Yes. Choose Engagement, Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet, Wedding and Reception, and rename any of them the way your family says it — Nischitartham, Pellikuthuru, Pelli.
Is the invitation in Telugu?
It is written in English so every guest can read it, and it closes on శుభ వివాహం under the night sky.
What does it cost?
Making and trying it costs nothing. You pay ₹1,999 once, the day you're ready to send it.
